About me

I am a fiber artist that creates primarily in fabric, needle and thread. Occasionally, I add a little paint. My two most important tools are my camera and my sewing machine, and while I mostly use contemporary techniques, my roots are deep in traditional quilting.

For as long as I can remember, I have considered myself a “maker”. The essence of creating something with my hands has always been my passion. While I made my first quilt in 1996, It wasn’t until 2005 that I became a “Quilter” when I joined a local guild. Since then, I’ve taken every opportunity to research and learn about this art form. My inspiration comes from seemingly everywhere, but I’m mostly drawn to nature. I also enjoy the connection between land and culture. Traveling around our country, and spending time in several of our national parks has also fueled my creative journey.
